Delta Nature Resort is located on the banks of the Somova lake, 20 kilometers from the town of Tulcea in eastern Romania. Tulcea is the main town in the Danube Delta and is 300 kilometers north-east of the capital city of Bucharest. Tulcea is connected to Bucharest by a well maintained highway which runs through one of the most scenic regions of the country. Tulcea also has a domestic airport as well as a railway station. A typical road journey from Bucharest to Tulcea takes three hours and thirty minutes. Flying time from Bucharest to Tulcea by helicopter or a chartered plane is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
